1- 1 Beauty And The Beast
Martin gets in trouble with Gina. She
listens in on his radio show and hears his insensitive remarks about women.
When Martin gets home, Gina calls him into the bedroom, away from Tommy
and Cole. Martin gets chewed out, but gives her an attitude. So she threatens
to leave him. Then Martin gives in. But then she agrees to put on an act
in front of Tommy and Cole. She pretends like Martin won, if Martin agrees
to attend a fancy dinner with her that night. Also: Sheneneh and Pam fight
in the hall and Mama Payne visits.

The Gift Rapper
Martin forgets to get Gina a gift for
their first anniversary. Gina is angry, so he runs out to a lingerie shop
to get her some intimate apparel. But he ends up getting her a foot stool
instead. Martin learns the importance of gift giving. Also: Sheneneh and
Tommy fight in the hall, then go off and play b'ball together.

Things I Did for Love
Martin makes insensitive remarks. Then
gets a rash of hate calls on his talk show for not being romantic. When
Martin gets home, he decides to take Gina out dancing at a fancy night
club. Jerome shows up and makes a pass at Gina.

Boyz R Us
When Martin finds out that Gina makes
more money than he does, he is shocked. When the whole city finds out,
he begins to have an ego problem. Also: Mama Payne has lunch with Cole
and Tommy's mothers.

Dead Men Don't Flush
Martin's toilet is clogged up big time.
He calls a plumber to come fix it. But the guy dies right in Martin's bathroom!
His hopes of getting the toilet fixed go down the drain.

Forever Sheneneh
When Sheneneh wins a date with Christopher
"Kid" Reid on Martin's talk show, Martin fears his career is over. Kid
shows up at Sheneneh's apartment and learns that she is his biggest fan
of all. First Sheneneh serves Kid malt liquor, then she does an exotic
dance for him - then she makes lewd sexual advances on him! Kid runs out
screaming, but Gina convinces him to go back and finish the date. Sheneneh
and Kid slow dance... and kiss!

I'm Not Your Super Woman
Martin gets the flu and he expects Gina
to stay and take care of him. But Gina gets fed up with him acting like
a baby and comparing her with Mama Payne.

A Woman With a Past
Martin becomes jealous after discovering
that his radio show guest dated Gina when they were younger. Gina sings
a duet with her old friend.

The Parents Are Coming
Martin must meet Gina's conservative
parents for the first time. He's feeling very nervous, and is desperate
to make a good impression. He takes advice from his friends that causes
him to act like an idiot. Martin ends up getting his back cracked by Gina's
father, who is a chiropractor.

Three Men And A Mouse
Martin has a mouse in his apartment.
Gina runs out and refuses to come back till it's gone. Martin hires an
exterminator, played by Little Richard, who fails. Finally Cole
catches the mouse and releases it outside -- only to see it eaten by a
cat! Little Richard performs "tutti-frutti".

The Great Payne Robbery
Martin hosts a neighborhood crime watch
meeting. Then his apartment gets burglarized the very next day. He dreams
up a plan to catch the burglar. He tells Cole's mother he's going to be
at a concert that night, and the burglar gets caught returning to the scene
of the crime.

Baby, It's Cole'd In Here
Cole's mother busts into his room while
he's entertaining Big Shirley, demanding back rent. So Cole follows Martin's
advice and stands up to his mother. But it gets him thrown out of the house.
He is forced to move in with Martin, but drives Gina crazy with his terrible
manners and bad habits.

Radio Days
Martin finds himself attracted to a
visiting talk-radio star (played by Kim Fields) who co-hosts his show.

Blackboard Jungle Fever
Martin returns to his elementary school
to host
Career day. He discovers the teacher is the same one he
had in the third grade. He takes her home to discuss old times, but she
undoes her blouse and pushes up on him... just as Gina steps in! She tells
Gina that Martin made the unwanted advance, and Gina runs out angry. Martin
returns to the school the next day to scold his teacher. She pushes up
on him again, but this time Gina's watching, and she tells the woman off,
then makes up with Martin

The Night He Came Home
On Halloween, Martin and his friends
gather at his house to tell ghost stories. But they all get scared out
of their wits after having a séance. The spirit of old man Ackerman
appears, possesses Tommy, and terrorizes everyone.

I've Got A Secret
Martin blabs out a secret on the air
and alienates all his best friends. Then he and Gina find their social
circle limited to Stan and his ugly girlfriend, until Martin makes amends.

Do The Fight Thing
Martin's radio listeners love it when
he and Gina have an on-air fight. But Martin is against the idea when Stan
wants to hire Gina to permanently co-host the show.

I Saw Gina Kissing Santa Claus
Martin reluctantly agrees to dress up
as Santa Claus for Tommy's 'Big Brothers' program.

Break Up (1)
Martin and Gina fight over a Valentine's
Day gift, and then they break up. Then Martin becomes dramatically depressed.

Break Up (2)
Pam sets Gina up with her cousin, who
is played by David Alan Grier. Meanwhile, Cole and Tommy take Martin to
a night club hoping to cheer him up. Martin meets a woman who is attracted
to him. Part 2 of three.

Break Up (3)
The conclusion. Billy Dee Williams guest
stars on Martins radio show and convinces him that he'd be foolish to lose
Gina. Martin crashes in on Gina while she's with another man, and tries
to win her back.

Credit Card Blues
Martin gets arrested for comitting credit
card fraud. He is really innocent. Gina and the gang quickly scramble to
to come up with bail money.

Jerome's In The House
Pam gets dumped by her boyfriend. Then
she decides to go out on a date with Jerome, the player.
1-24
Your Arms Are Too Short To Box With Martin
Martin and Cole come up against a gang
of thugs, whose leader had Tommy beaten up. Martin learns about discrimination
when he contends with an angry group of dwarfs and midgets.
1-25
Baby You Can Drive My Car
Everybody pools together to get a lottery
ticket -- then they win a brand new car! They decide to share it. Tommy
ends up in a car pool with Sheneneh, Laquita, and Keylolo. Gina ends up
with Jerome, the player, trying to wash her window at an intersection.
Cole ends up driving his Mom and Mama Payne around. Pam takes the car to
a drive through bank window and gets hassled by Otis the security guard.
They end up running the vehicle into the ground and have to get rid of
it.

Variety Show
Martin is chosen by his radio station
manager to be the producer of the charity variety show. But he lets the
job go to his head. LaWanda Page (Sanford & Son) guest stars.

Checks, Lies, And Videotape
Martin and Gina try to expose Reverend
Love as a fraud after he cons thousands of dollars from Martin's mother. |
