how Martin and Gina met.

Really, Gina Is Not My Lover
Gina's been to the dentist and has had
novacaine. Her mouth is swollen, she's drooling, and her speech is badly
slurred. But Martin is determined to win the Man of the Decade award
at his high school reunion that evening. Even if it means leaving Gina
at home. But Gina shows up and embarasses him.

Got To Be There
When Gina is away, Martin, Tommy and
Cole try to play. But Martin finds out that Gina is having some fun of
her own. Gina goes to Chicago with Pam and ends up in a hotel with a male
stripper. Bob the white guy shows up, eats too much pizza, then breaks
gas. Martin calls Gina, finds out about the stripper, then drives the three
hours to Chicago and catches Gina in bed with another man. But it's all
a big misunderstanding - and Gina is innocent.

Beat It
Martin invites a crowd of friends over
to watch boxing on TV. Cole's new girlfriend takes a liking to Tommy.

Baby, It's You
Martin agrees to help host a baby shower.
But he doesn't expect the expectant mother to go into labor in his apartment!
Martin helps deliver a baby, while Gina and Pam are broke down in an alley
with some creep mechanic.

Workin' Day and Night
Martin decides to become more macho after Stan convinces him that Gina has been controlling his life. And their relationship becomes threatened after Martin starts working more hours at the station.

Control
Martin has tickets to an excellent basketball
game. Then Gina accidentally throws them away. The worst part is when Gina
has to work at Sheneneh's beauty parlor in order to get replacements.

You've Got a Friend
Gina starts to hang around with a new
male friend, they go shopping together a lot. Martin gets suspicious,
so he threatens the guy and drives him off. But After getting rid of him,
Martin realizes he made a mistake when Gina drags him along to shop for
ladies shoes.

To Kill a Talking Bird
Mama Payne leaves her beloved talking
parrot at Martin's apartment for the weekend. The talking bird constantly
insults Gina. She tries to keep her cool, and cares for the bird. But the
bird dies. Now Mama Payne thinks Gina killed it.

Fat Like Dat
Gina convinces Martin that he's putting
on weight. So Martin goes on a diet.

Hollywood Swinging (1)
After Gina and Pam get promotions, Martin
realizes his job is going nowhere. Especially after he meets Varnel
Hill -- the successful TV talk-show host. Part 1 of two.

Hollywood Swinging (2)
The conclusion. In Los Angeles, Martin
takes steps to ensure that he gets on Varnel Hill's talk show. During a
performance by Jodeci, Martin crashes the stage and tries to join the group
in singing. Then on the street Martin runs into Michael Jackson,
and gets beat up. Jodeci and Fred Berry of What's Happening have
cameos.

Thanks for Nothing
Arguments nearly ruin Thanksgiving dinner when Martin and Gina invite their relatives to a Holiday feast. Guest stars include J.A. Preston and Judyann Elder.

Whoop! There It Ain't
Martin and Gina make a bet that they
can abstain from sex for two weeks. Who will give in first?

Holiday Blues
It's Christmas time and Martin is ready
to spend the holidays with Gina, but Gina isn't happy. She wants to be
with her family in Philadelphia. Pam convinces Martin to take Gina home.
But instead of flying out of Detroit, Martin decides for them to take the
bus. While waiting, the bus gets snowed in, Martin fights Ms. Geri, Gina
beats up the station attendant, and the couple gets their luggage stolen.

No Justice, No Peace
Martin gets a simple ticket for running
a stop sign. But he turns it into a Federal case when he decides to fight
it and accuses the officer of civil rights violations. Martin ends up botching
the case and resorts to pleading insanity.

Suspicious Minds
Martin's new CD Walkman disappears.
Stan convinces him that one of his friends must have taken it. Martin goes
around to each of his best friends and accuses them. Then it turns out
he's wrong when Bro'man innocently returns the walkman.

Love is in Your Face (1)
Gina is offered a job in New York and
Martin, on Stan's advice, tells her to take it. Part 1 of two.

Love is in Your Face (2)
Conclusion. With Gina in New York, Martin
reconsiders his decision to let her go and sets out to make amends. Singer
Brian McKnight has a cameo.

Arms are for Hugging
Martin and Gina are fighting and arguing
too much. So they seek the help of a Minister. They end up with other troubled
couples in a weekend Marriage council session at a mountain retreat.

Guard Your Grill
After winning a charity boxing match
against another deejay, Martin challenges pro boxer Tommy Hearns. Martin
ends up getting his butt kicked big time. Riddick Bowe has a cameo.

Yours, Mine and Ours
When Martin and Gina combine checking accounts to prepare for the future, Martin spends the money on a big-screen TV.

I Don't Have the Heart
Pam starts dating an impulsive older
gentleman, who, after a week of dating, asks her to marry him. Martin insists
that Pam say yes because he will get to use the gentlemans stadium sky
box to watch all major ball games. But Pam ends up saying no because the
man only wants to control her life.

Crunchy Drawers
Martin's life becomes a nightmare when
he starts having erotic dreams about Pam.

No Love Lost
Martin's in the doghouse for bickering
with Gina just before going to their engagement party, which is crashed
by rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg. The NFL's Randall Cunningham has a cameo.

The Hoedown in Motown
Stan is getting busted by the IRS for
20 years worth of back taxes, so he must sell the radio station. The new
owner takes over and turns it into a country/western station. Martin tries
to adapt, but he can't stand it.

Martin's on the Move
Martin has quit his job at the new country
radio station. Sad and depressed, he leaves Detroit. But he doesn't tell
Gina where he's going. He only says that he will return when he finds himself.
